It has been said that once a person becomes a Christian, within two years they no longr have any non-Christian friends. In some cases it is necessary disconnect from from people that do not build you up and in fact, tear you and down or hinder your growth as a Christ-Follower. However, we are not able to influence others if we disconnect from those people that need to know Christ. Is it possible that we forget how “lost” people are and how desperate the heart is to receive The Unconditional Love of Jesus?
I was listening to the radio recently and someone mentioned something about a famine in your soul. What a powerful picture of those who do not know Christ. Soul Famine is a perfect picture of someone who has yet to surrender to His Love and Purpose for their life. Will you offer Bread this week to feed the souls of those famished for what they may not even know? Here’s an idea that I have used for about 15 years. When you eat out, and they waiter or waitress brings your food, tell them you are going to thanks God for your food and would like to add a request they may have. I have had some powerful opportunities result from this simple offer. I’d love to her yours ideas as well and how my idea works for you. For Him, Robert
